Bainguinim: SWM plant delayed further

The much-hyped Solid Waste Management plant at Bainguinim, Panaji will be further delayed as all three bidders have been disqualified after they failed to submit all required documents.

Mr Levinson Martins, Managing Director – Goa Waste Management Corporation (GWMC) told The Times of India that new bids will be invited albeit with a bit of delay due to the pandemic situation prevailing in the country.

The companies that had expressed interest in the project include Hindustan Waste Treatment Pvt Ltd, Maaviya Engineering Consultants Pvt Ltd and Three R Management Pvt Ltd.
