Bandhwari WtE plant to be re-opened soon

The WtE plant at Bandhwari, Indian state of Haryana, is supposedly going to re-open during the next week, after it had been shut down for four years. This has been reassured by the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) in an address to the National Green Tribunal on April 10th, 2017. At the moment, the MCG is awaiting clearance on a tender allotment which is deemed necessary before the re-start of operations. Over the course of years of being neglected, the WtE facility at Bandhwari has become a local dumping ground for waste. This has been reported by Hindustan Times.
