Bank acquired BtE plant due to lacking payment

Indian Overseas Bank has taken over a biomass plant of Global Power Tech Equipments (GPTL), subsidiary of Orient Green Power Company. The bank announced this decision after GPTL was not able to fulfil payment requirements. The facility has already been out of operation for a longer period since high fuel prices made operations economically infeasible. This was reported by NDTV Profit.
