BBMP signs two new WtE deals

The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has recently signed a partnership agreement with an unnamed French company to set up a Waste-to-Energy plant. The Waste-to-Energy facility should generate 10 MW of electricity from processing 500 tpd of segregated solid waste. According to The Hindu, the plant is likely to be located in Chikkanagamangala and has a planned commissioning period of 8 months after commencement of construction. Also, it was stated that BBMP had partnered with a company from the Netherlands for another Waste-to-Energy plant in Bellahalli.
