New biogas plant at Srirangam temple

A new AD plant at the Ranganathaswamy temple campus in Srirangam, Tamil Nadu, has been put into operations, as The Times of India reported. The plant processes 70 kg of food waste and 300 kg of cow manure per day, coming from the local kitchen and shelter at the temple. The construction started in January and cost about INR 2.55 million (EUR 31,800).
