Bengaluru WtE project takes next step

Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has now signed a concession agreement with 3Wayste, which will have to commission the sorting plant within 6 months, and the WtE plant within 1 year. BBMP is required to send 300 tonnes of waste daily to the plant, which has a capacity to process 600 tonnes and is expected to generate around 7 MW. The WtE unit will be established at the existing solid waste management plant in Chikkanagamangala by modifying the existing building and is estimated to cost INR 250 crores. This was reported by The Hindu.
