According to Nyoooz, the Municipal Corporation of Bhubaneswar (BMC), Odisha, has invited private parties to discuss setting up a biogas plant. After the discussion, the BMC will issue a request for proposal (RFP) and form a tender committee for the final selection. The plant will be supplied with organic food waste and animal waste generated in the city. About 600 tpd of waste are produced in Bhubaneswar, but it is not clear how much of it is organic.
