According to The Tribune, a quarter of the new dairy AD project by the Municipal Corporation of Patiala, Punjab, has been completed. As reported in December 2018, the MC was seeking approval from the state government for a large-scale dairy project. Plans had been provided for centralising the dairies of the city in an area in Ablowal village near the city. The AD plant will process the cow manure from the dairies. The project is estimated to cost about INR 13 crores. Additional works include roads, sewage and water connections, an animal husbandry hospital, green belts, shops and a gaushala (cow shelter).
