Biomethane plant in Bhopal inaugurated

The Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) has inaugurated a new AD plant, according to The Times of India. The municipal government of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, is planning to supply local streetlights with the food waste processing facility. The plant located at the civic Yaadgar-e-Shahjehani park should be able to process up to 7 tins of biowaste per day. Furthermore, besides biogas, the plant should also be able to produce biomethane, which will be used at a local restaurant as cooking gas. Investments amount to about INR 20,000,000 (EUR 262,827).
