Brahmapuram plant approved by local government

Despite the fact that the Brahmapuram WtE plant has been officially approved by the local government of Kochi, there seems no end in sight for the ongoing struggle between the two parties involved in the project, the Kochi Corporation and the local government. A scientific adviser to the local government and different state officials had voiced his consent on the project just recently, but the plans seem to be upheld by political power struggles inside the local Communist party (CPM). No deadline for the launch of the project has been determined yet. This was reported by the New Indian Express.
