Two energy projects are being proposed at the location of the Bhogpur Cooperative Sugar Mill in Bhogpur, Punjab.

A 15 MW power plant not further specified is reportedly to be built, as well as a new bio-CNG plant. During the current season, the bio-CNG plant is expected to generate electricity worth INR 160 million (EUR 1.9 million), increasing the income of the sugar mill.

The new plan should produce 4 tpd of bio-CNG, processing 100 tpd of crop residues. Gas should be sent through pipelines to nearby areas.
