CII invites entries for CII 3R Awards 2021

The Confederation of Indian Industry is inviting participation for the 2nd edition of 3R Awards. Held under the Chairmanship of Dr. Anil Kakodkar, Former Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission, the 3R Awards encourage, recognize and reward waste sector start-ups, industry and urban local bodies (ULBs)/ Municipal Corporation (MCs) which are setting up a benchmark on excellence in waste management through effective ways.

“The idea behind these awards is to encourage the principles of 3R (reduce, reuse and recycle) and best waste management practices for managing the wastes, extracting values and also recognizing best practices of industry, start-ups and Urban local bodies (ULBs)/ Municipal Corporation (MCs) on waste management, thereby promoting principle of circular economy,” a CII spokesperson informs SolidWasteIndia.

Here are the six categories for the 3R Awards:

  • Excellence in 3R by Industry (waste generated by industry by own operation or activities or services)
  • Excellence in Managing Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) by Industry
  • Excellence in Managing Municipal Solid Waste (MSW by ULBs
  • Excellence in Innovation by Start-ups for Sustainable Waste Management
  • Excellence in developing the zero/minimum waste products
  • Excellence in Managing Plastics and Packaging items/ wastes by EPR Strategies (Sub-category: a) PIBOs b) PROs c) Recyclers/ Co-Processor)
  • Excellence in Managing E-waste by EPR Strategies (Sub-category: a) PIBOs b) PROs c) Recyclers/ Co-Processor)

Participants from all areas are invited to send their entries for the CII 3R Awards 2021. This includes all companies and firms (large and MSMEs) registered in India across the Sectors, PIBOs/ PROs/ Recyclers/ Processors, Start-ups and Urban local bodies/ Municipal Corporations.
