Coimbatore Municipal Corporation is planning to install more bins and replace the damaged ones with new bins to prevent residents from dumping garbage on the roadsides. These bins will be cleared regularly by deploying more compactor vehicles, reports The Times of India.
The city corporation plans to procure 500 dumper bins and five compactor vehicles at a cost of Rs 4.45 crore to carry waste to the dump yards. A proposal has been sent to the commissionerate of municipal administration.
