Construction of Kolhapur WtE plant to start soon

The Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (KMC) has announced to start construction works at its WtE project by the end of this May. KMC already awarded a construction and operations contract to company Rochem Separations Limited more than 2 years ago. However, the project has not yet started due to problems regarding the construction ground. Plant commissioning was now announced for early 2017. According to the source, The Times of India, the proposed facility will have a treatment capacity of 160 tpd. The plant should apparently use a gasification process. However, the source does not say anything about which kind of waste the plant will treat.
