Bawana WtE project stalled due to revenue sharing conflict

The Bawana WtE project has apparently stalled because of a dispute between the North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) and project developer Ramky Group on revenue sharing. The Bawana WtE plant is planned to have a treatment capacity of 1,550 tpd of waste and a generation capacity of 24 MW. India’s National Green Tribunal has now ordered both parties to send reports to the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) within 3 weeks. The project aims at easing pressure on the heavily overfilled Bhalswa landfill. According to another source, NDMC is also in the process of appointing a new consultant for the project. This was reported by the Times of India.
