The construction works on the WtE facility planned in Surat should commence in December, the Times of India reports. Once operational, the INR 2.5 billion facility should have a capacity of 14 MW, while treating 1,200 tpd of solid waste. For the construction, the existing solid waste disposal site in Khajod will be moved to another areal provided by the civic body.
