Construction start of C&D recycling plant in Nashik

The construction of the C&D waste recycling plant in Nashik, Maharashtra, has reportedly started after a delay of more than 3 years.

Commissioning is scheduled for March 2024 already. The plant is worth INR 70 million (EUR 783,000), INR 35 million (EUR 391,000) of which are funded by Swachh Bharat Mission, along with INR 35 million (EUR 391,000) by National Clean Air Programme (N-CAP).

According to the source, the plant has a capacity of 150 tonnes (tpd, as ecoprog understands), while the city currently collects 40 tpd of C&D waste.
