Council of ministers backs WtE proposal in Bengaluru

The Deccan Herald reports that the council of ministers has recently granted in principle approvals for a proposal to build three integrated solid waste management parks near Bengaluru. The proposal was brought up by the Urban Development Department (UDD), Government of Karnataka. The plans provide for WtE, waste-to-compost as well as recycling measures under one roof.
