Debris recycling facility planned in Vidyaranyapura

Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) is planning to build a debris construction recycling facility at the sewage farm in Vidyaranyapura, Bangalore. A yet unnamed company is to recycle debris into usable bricks and interlocking tiles. A similar facility was built by the company in New Delhi, according to The Hindu. The facility is expected to cost about EUR 1,236,483 (RS 9 crore), with start of construction scheduled for 28 October. The new C&D facility should prevent the citizens to arbitrary unload construction and demolition debris alongside the roads and on unused lands.
