The South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has resumed separate waste collection for COVID homes following a rise in cases. SDMC has hired a tipper for four to five wards and provided residents with a phone number to call if waste is not collected.

The East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) also plans to take steps to deal with COVID waste separately. It has launched a helpline number for public convenience. Awareness is also being raised through messages on speakers installed on garbage collection tippers, EDMC website and other mediums so that biomedical waste is processed properly, reports The Times of India.
