According to The Times of India, the planned Shishambara waste and RDF plant near Dehradun, Uttarakhand, which was planned to be realised under a public private partnership (PPP) scheme, has finally found a developer. As Ramky Group was the only bidder, municipal body Nagar Nigam now issued a letter of intent, giving Ramky Group 10 days to respond. The plant should include an RDF unit, a composting plant, a recycling line and a sanitary landfill. The project was already approved in 2014 but got cancelled back then as only 2 companies had submitted proposals. The facility will spread over 8.3 hectares.
