Dundigal’s new Waste to Energy plant about to open

A 14.5 MW RDF incineration plant is about to open soon in Dundigal, Telangana. The facility has been set up at the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation’s treatment, storage and disposal facility.

As SWI understands, this refers to the 14.5 MW project in Dundigal by the company Re Sustainability, which was first announced in 2021. The current source also provides information on the solid waste management plant at Jawahar Nagar, which already has a 19.8 MW plant. This was later upgraded to 24 MW.

As per other sources, Telangana intends to produce 100 MW from WtE projects in the future, including Pyaranagar (15 MW), Yacharam (12 MW), and Bibinagar (11 MW).
