East Delhi might use gasification technology for waste treatment

As the Hindustan Times reported, the East Delhi Municipal Corporation is currently looking into gasification technology in waste management as an alternative to incineration. According to the officials, energy generation from gasification technology doubles the efficiency of an incineration process. The municipality has requested for a project report from an American company, Beltran Technologies, upon which a pilot project could be established by March.
