NGT issued directive on establishment of Dehli WtE facility

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has recently issued a directive to the Delhi Government and civic bodies for submission of an action plan towards establishing a Waste-to-Energy plant and a landfill site in the city. According to the NGT, the action plan is due for submission within 2 weeks. The report stated that the city of Delhi generates about 14,000 tpd of waste. The next hearing on the waste management plant establishment has been scheduled for 15 March 2018, as the Daily Pioneer reported.
