EverEnviro to invest in 14 CBG plants across India

EverEnviro Resource Management Pvt Ltd (EverEnviro), a wholly owned subsidiary of Green Growth Equity Fund (GGEF), plans to invest $1 billion in the construction of 14 compressed biogas plants across the country.

There are currently about 25 CBG plants operating in India. Industry insiders predicted that over $2 billion in investments could be made in the sector over the next five to seven years, according to The Economic Times.

Both the Adani Group and Reliance Industries Ltd. intend to invest between 500 and 600 crores in the construction of 40-million tonne per annum (mtpa) plants in Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh, respectively.
