HPCL starts new biogas project

HPCL has started its first cow dung-based biogas project in Rajasthan, which converts 100 tonnes of dung per day into biogas that may be utilized as a transportation fuel. The HPCL Compressed Biogas Project project is anticipated to go into operation in a year. The framework for the HPCL Compressed Biogas Project project is the GOBAR-Dhan plan, which was unveiled by the Indian government in April 2018 as a part of the Swachh Bharat Mission’s (Grameen) Biodegradable Waste Management component.
