Financing of Bidadi WtE plant faces problems

The Bidadi WtE project, which is currently under construction, could by delayed as the financing of the construction is hindered. The project is being jointly developed by Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL), and they also finance the development equally.

According to the report, the BBMP has not paid its share of expenditures for the fourth month in succession. The BBMP currently owes INR 300 million (EUR 3.7 million). The 11.5 MW plant is being designed and constructed by Hitachi Zosen India Pvt Ltd.
