Further expansion planned for Ghazipur WtE plant

In a visit to the East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) headquarters, Lieutenant-Governor Anil Baijal discussed on issues of solid waste management, The Hindu reports. The waste processing capacity of the WtE plant in Ghazipur should be increased from 1,300 metric tons to 1,900 metric tons per day. Through augmentation of power generation equipment, the capacity of the plant could be enhanced to 2,500 metric tons daily. The total waste generated in the EDMC area is approximately 2,600 metric tons per day.
