Goa MBT plant officially commissioned

After trial operations of the 100 tpd MBT project in Saligao, Goa, started on 1 April, the facility has now been officially commissioned, The Navhind Times reports. It includes an RDF production line, a biogas unit and a composting line. The plant is equipped with an organic extruder press that is able to separate organic and solid waste in a single treatment step. The processed organic waste will be converted to fertilizer and sold. Plant developer is Hindustan Waste Treatment Pvt Ltd, a special purpose vehicle of the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation.
