The Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon is preparing to speed up the clearing and processing of four lakh tonnes of waste from the Bandhwari landfill site. The officials said that MCG has floated two tenders so that the work to clear legacy waste from the landfill site starts soon through biomining.

MCG had recently given the contract of clearing two lakh tonnes of waste from the Bandhwari landfill site to a company so that land can be provided to Ecogreen to set up a waste-to-energy plant.

Two lakh tonnes of waste has already been shifted from the waste-to-energy (WTE) site to the backside of the landfill site, where waste processing is ongoing, reports The Times of India.
