Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (HERC) has approved a power purchase agreement (PPA) between Haryana Power Purchase Center (HPPC) and RSL Distilleries Pvt Ltd. (RSL). According to Mercom India, HPPC will purchase 3 MW from RSL’s 5.55 MW biomass CHP plant in the village of Chandrao, Tehsil Indri, Karnal District, Haryana. HERC has approved PPAs for 49.8 MW of paddy straw-fuelled biomass power plants in January 2019.
