Six WtE facilities planned in Punjab

The cities of Amritsar, Bathinda, Mohali, Rupnagar, Moonak, and Nawanshahr, in Punjab plan to set up WtE plants, as was reported by The Economic Times. For this purpose, the government of Punjab intends to introduce a model waste management plan, which will be funded by the Swacch Bharat Mission.
