Haryana Power Purchase Center (HPPC)’s demand for a review of the tariff for the 1.2 MW poultry litter biogas plant in Morkhi, Jind District, Haryana, was rejected by the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (HERC).

As announced by HERC, the Commission’s earlier decision was not erroneous, reports Mercom India. According to HPPC, the Commission made mistakes, amongst others, when permitting O&M expenses as per the norms of HERC’s Tariff Regulations, 2017.

The plant developed by Mor Bio Energy was commissioned in May 2020 and processes 180 tpd of household biowaste as well as poultry and cattle manure.
