New biogas plans in Varanasi

The Government of India is currently in preparations for setting up a new biogas plant at the Parag Dairy in Ramnagar, Varanasi district, Uttar Pradesh. Jagran reports that when operational, the plant shall produce 500 to 600 KVA of electricity.

The source does not comment on the proposed capacity. According to a report from June 2021, another 90 tpd biogas plant is to be built at the Kanha Upvan complex in the village of Shahanshahpur, Varanasi district.
