Hyderabad to have 90 new secondary waste collection transfer points

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has announced a new initiative to establish 90 secondary collection transfer locations in the city.

Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Mr KT Rama Rao has directed officials to create three SCTPs in each circle, as per the SWM Rules 2016.

Already, 24 STPs have been built while an additional 72 mobile SCTPs have been established to collect solid waste, reports The New Indian Express.
