The 9th edition of IFAT India by Messe Muenchen India concluded on Friday at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. IFAT India is one of the country’s leading trade fairs for water, sewage, solid waste, and recycling technologies.
This year’s edition saw the participation of over 10,000 visitors and more than 250 exhibitors from 22 countries, along with pavilions from Austria, Germany, Norway, Poland, Switzerland, and the Netherlands, reaffirming the focus of IFAT India 2022 as an industry event to boost and facilitate the waste and water treatment sectors. Key exhibitors included Shakti Plastics, Arvind Envisol, DuPont Water Solutions, Hermann Sewerin GmbH, Ion Exchange, Larsen & Toubro, and Terex India, among many others.
The panel discussions included topics such as Sustainable and Smart Solutions for Urban Development, German-Indian solutions for digitalization & automation in water sector, Bio CNG Market in India: Treatment of Organic Municipal Waste – Developments, Innovations & Technologies, RDF/MSW Pre-processing and Co-Processing Opportunities and Challenges, amongst others. The second and third day of the show will also see discussions on insightful topics such as, ‘How adoption of western technologies is changing India’s sustainability landscape’, ‘Change makers: Women Leaders driving Sustainability’, ‘Circular Economy: A Design Rethinking approach!’, ‘Accelerating the Circular Economy of Electronics in India – the changing role of the recycling industry’, My Plastic My Responsibility, Rethink Infrastructure Sustainable, Fostering circular Fashion in textile and apparel sector.
