Indian gas operator Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) is planning to establish 19 biogas compression plants in Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh.

The company signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with two technology partners for this project. The biogas produced from municipal and agricultural waste should be blended with conventional gas and integrated into IGL’s gas distribution network to sell it as CBG.

IGL aims to produce 0.45 million m³ of biogas per day.
