Seven biogas projects to start operations this year in Punjab

According to the Punjab Minister of New and Renewable Energy Sources, seven compressed biogas (CBG) projects with a total capacity of 79 tpd should start operations by the end of this year.

These projects should process over 272,000 tpy of paddy straw. In addition, four CBG projects with a total capacity of over 85 tpd were commissioned already, for which 170,000 tonnes of rice straw have been accumulated.
