Inactive AD plant re-inaugurated in Chennai

An old AD plant in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, has been put back into operation, as Citizen Matters reported. The plant, originally inaugurated in 2014, was shut down due to technical issues in 2014/2015. Currently, the facility processes cow manure and food waste with a capacity of 750 kg to produce 0.03m3 biogas per kg. The repair was undertaken by plant manufacturer Cryogenic Process Control for a cost of INR 970,000 (EUR 12,000).
