IOCL approves biogas plant in Gwalior

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has granted permission to a proposal to build a biogas plant in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.

The facility is to be erected at the Adarsh ​​Gaushala of the Municipal Corporation, Lal Tipara. 100 tpd of cow dung is supposed to be converted into 100 tpd of biogas at the future plant. It is estimated, as further stated in the report, that 50 to 60 tonnes of cow dung are being produced every day in the Adarsh ​​Gaushala itself.

The entailed investment for this project is said to be INR 310 million (EUR 3.7 million).
