A CBG plant is being set up in Thaluapur, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. This will reportedly be the first plant in the state in which CBG will be made from the mixture of cow dung, grass, and dairy waste. CBG production is expected to start by December.
Indian Oil Corporation will market CBG under the IndiGreen brand at its petrol pumps in Kanpur and adjoining areas. In this regard, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with AA Bio Energies in Lucknow to manufacture CBG. AA Energies will produce the CBG at the plant and provide it to Indian Oil, reports Jagran.
