Karnal has acquired 40 new tippers and 2 JCBs under the Smart City Project. The Municipal Corporation has a total of 90 new tippers, with 4 tippers allotted to each ward as compared to two earlier. Flagging off the new tippers, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar hoped the new tippers would improve waste collection work in the city.

The tippers have seperate wet and dry waste compartments, along with special sections to dump biomedical and e-waste, reports UNI.
