In spite of doubts that the proposed Brahmapuram WtE facility is feasible, the Kochi Municipal Corporation still sees the plant as the best solution for the city’s waste management issues, as was reported by The Times of India. However, nor permits have so far been obtained for the project. If successful, construction works at the plant would take up to 2 years, according to GJ Eco Power Pvt Ltd, which is the agency responsible for the project.
