As reported in April 2016, steel service company Mahindra Intertrade Ltd. and state-controlled MSTC Ltd. developed India’s first integrated End-of-Life Vehicle (ELV) shredding and recycling facility that is planned to get operational by 2018 and have an expected capacity of at least 100,000 tons per year. Back in April, a location was yet unclear. Now, Gujarat and Maharashtra have been shortlisted as potential locations, as was reported by Waste Management World. However, a final decision has yet to be made.
