The Lucknow Nagar Nigam is all set to give a new look to its garbage collection vehicles. This was after Divisional Commissioner Roshan Jacob took note of the civic body’s unkept vehicles during a municipal cleanliness review meeting. She even questioned Indrajeet Singh, the municipal commissioner, about the rationale behind the use of unkempt, rusty vehicles and gave him two weeks to address the problem.

“This shows the concerned staff’s careless attitude and demonstrates that the civic body has little interest in maintaining a clean city. To provide the citizens of the city a positive impression of the city, all of the trash collection department’s vehicles must be painted within 15 days, Ms Jacob said, reports Hindustan Times.
