Lucknow WtE plant goes online

The Lucknow Municipal Corporation WtE plant has started generating energy from waste. According to The Times of India, the plant produced 12 MW of electricity from processing 1500 tonnes of waste at its first run. 10 MW from the generated electricity is being used to run the plant while surplus energy is used for lightning up the facility. Negotiation is currently ongoing for the transfer of surplus electricity to Lucknow Electrical Supply Administration (LESA).
