The Municipal Corporation of Ludhiana, Punjab, has issued a new WtE proposal to the Municipal Infrastructure Development Company (PMIDC).

The proposal reportedly provides for a waste complex including garbage processing, bioremediation of legacy waste, as well as an MRF under a combined project. According to the source, the WtE plant could process around 600 tpd. However, it was not specified whether this just refers to the WtE unit of the waste complex or all the units combined.

Information on the planned energy generation capacity is not mentioned either. The Municipality hopes to receive funding through the Swachh Bharat Mission, a federal campaign aimed at improving solid waste management.
