Manipur has a new WTE plant

Loktak Lake, Manipur

Manipur’s new Waste to Energy (WtE) plant was inaugurated under MAHUD, Lamdeng. The project is expected to process 100 TPD waste.

The plant was developed on a public-private partnership (PPP) mode under a tripartite agreement signed amongst MAHUD, MSPDCL, and Innovative Eco Care Pvt Ltd, and Thermotech System Ltd (IEC-TSL).

Pune-based Praj Industries will also be involved in ethanol production from Phumdi biomass in Loktak lake, says a news report in Sangai Express.
