India-based integrated steel producer Tata Steel Ltd. has ordered a Texas Shredder PS metal shredder from Helsinki-based plant manufacturer Metso Corp, Recycling Today has reported. The shredder will be installed at Tata Steel’s upcoming 500,000 tpy steel scrap recycling plant in Rohtak and is claimed to be the first of its kind in India. The value of the order was not disclosed. According to Tata Steel, the new plant is expected to cost INR 15.6 crore and is expected to commence operations by the end of 2019.
