Mohali’s first solid waste management project begins at Jheurheri village

The Mohali administration has set up its first solid waste management (SWM) project at Jheurheri village in the district. The Times of India reports that under this project, every household will be given a pair of green and blue trash cans to segregate garbage which will be collected from each household. The wet waste will be dumped into pits and converted into manure to be sold in the market.
